Bonita Springs Finish Carpentry, TV Mounting & Lanai Repair
Most calls we get from Bonita Springs are finish work — built-ins, trim upgrades, large-format TV mounts in 18-foot great rooms — on homes where the original builder's punch crew never matched the home's price point.
I treat every Bonita job like a closing walk-through. Caulk lines are razor-straight, screws are countersunk and putty-filled, and nothing leaves the property dusty.
Large-format TV installs (75" – 98")
Above 75 inches we anchor a 24-inch full-motion mount across two studs minimum with 5/16 x 3-1/2 lag bolts into the framing — never just the drywall anchors that ship with the mount. HDMI and power run in-wall through low-voltage brackets and a recessed Datacomm box behind the screen, so no cables show.
Custom carpentry & built-ins
Closet build-outs in MDF with poplar face frames, hardwood floating shelves anchored to blocking we install before drywall closes up, and crown profiles matched to your existing trim — we mill samples before we order stock.
Lanai & pool cage after summer storms
We replace bent uprights with matched SMA aluminum, re-screen with 20x20 mesh on the upper sections and pet-grade on the kick panels, and reseal the cage-to-deck joint with NP1, not silicone.
Working inside Bonita gated communities
We carry COI on file with Bonita Bay, Pelican Landing, and Spanish Wells gate offices. Send your community name on the booking and we'll handle the certificate routing before the visit.
How we hide HDMI and power on a great-room mount
Code does not let you run a standard HDMI through the wall cavity if the cable isn't CL2/CL3 rated, and it doesn't let you run a regular extension cord either. We use a Datacomm In-Wall Power Kit (UL-listed) that gives you a real Romex feed to a recessed receptacle behind the TV and a separate low-voltage gang for HDMI/Cat6 pull. The receptacle below the console is a normal 15A.
On a 98-inch wall mount we tilt-test before final torque — most great rooms in Bonita Bay sit on stem-wall framing with 16" OC studs, but a few of the older homes are 24" OC and we have to pick up a third stud or back the mount with a 1/4" steel plate.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you mount a 98-inch TV without a cabinet underneath?
Yes. Two studs minimum, 5/16 lag bolts, full-motion 24" arm. Recessed receptacle and HDMI behind the unit.
Do you carry COI for Bonita Bay and Pelican Landing?
Yes — both communities are on file. Tell us the community at booking and we route the certificate.
Can you match the existing crown profile in my home?
We pull a sample, match the profile at a local mill or with stock that already matches, and dry-fit before nailing.
